Thomas Shifflet
Bio
Thomas Shifflet is one of the most accomplished wrestling coaches to come out of Western New York, bringing nearly 30 years of collegiate coaching experience to the sport. He currently serves as the Head Women's Wrestling Coach at Buffalo State University Athletics, where he was hired in 2025 to lead the Bengals' women's wrestling program.
Coaching Philosophy
Known for developing athletes both on and off the mat, Shifflet has built a reputation for technical excellence, disciplined training, and creating winning cultures. His experience spans NCAA Division I programs, high school wrestling, and now the rapidly growing field of collegiate women's wrestling.
